People are talking about mixing templates. The idea is to have where to begin from and consequently make the mixing process pass as quickly as possible. Sounds good at face value, but are we not in danger of laying aside the drive to carve out uniqueness and end up tainting all projects with the faded color of the template? Wouldn't it be better to find a much better approach, like maybe just a work flow with no template. Coz as a mixing pro you want every instrument track to speak to you, sonically before you begin your post mortem. Haha
